Google Day #2

Goals:
Research about NABA in Milano.

Investigation:
http://international.naba.it/ba-programs-2/fashion-design/

NABA counts as a Bachelor three year program in any art. I chose fashion design.
NABA counts with two main languages for the fashion world, Italian and English. This university counts with great internships to have experience with the best people in fashion:

"Internships and collaborations with companies
Among others: Valentino Fashion Group SpA, Missoni Spa, Guccio Gucci SpA, Gianni Versace SpA, Carrera’s Srl, E. C. (Costume National) Spa, Lorenzo Riva, Trussardi SpA, Italy Spa Jil Sander, Kenzo, Etro SpA; Moschino Spa."

The three year program includes the following:

  • History of Costume and Fashion
  • Fashion Design
  • Accessories Design
  • Marketing and management
  • Fashion Styling and Communication
Difference between a fashion designer and a fashion stylist:
fashion designer designs and makes clothes, while a fashion stylist picks out clothes for photo shoots, picks out what clothes go on the mannequins in window displays at stores, and decide what clothes are going to be "it" for that season. Fashion stylists need to be active and know lots of cultures to know which trends textiles and styles are being used that time. The fashion designer would probably make more money, but a fashion stylist will have a more stable career because it is needed everywhere and every day while a fashion designer can go bad because of people not buying their designs.

A career of fashion design may take from three to five years. It depends on you wanting to specialize in specific design or going abroad.

Education and Training: Bachelor's or associate's degree
Salary: $55,840 per year

Designers not only draw color and design, they create feelings and show stories.
..."that illustrate a desired theme or feeling. "

Next Google Day...
Next Google research day I want to go deeper into another institute as istituto marangoni.

Google Day #1

Goals:
Choose my three careers in mind.
Investigate about what is each career.
Where can I study this career?

Investigation:

http://summer.naba.it/fashion/

In this link I found different types of fashion I can study such as:

Fashion Design, Fashion Styling, Fashion Communication, Fashion Management, Fashion Marketing and Merchandising, Fashion Textile, Fashion Accessorize, Fashion Retail.

http://www.wisegeek.org/what-does-a-fashion-designer-do.htm

In this link I got to know what a real fashion designer does.

A designer not only creates ideas of a new master pieces (clothing). A designer brings new ideas and attention to the fashion world, it has to do with culture and fashion all around the world.
There's this thing called the sewing dummy. This is a way designer design, they just get textiles or fabrics and start creating whatever it comes to their mind, not using a story board or sketch like most of the designers do.
The first vision of a designer is who is going to wear this? They need to have an idea to who or what type of people they want their designs for.

http://stylecaster.com/jobswhat-does-designer-do/

Designers have different things to do, but they choose which one to do.
"The design and production process can differ between mass market and high fashion. Some designers specialize in one category of apparel, while others design across a range of clothing and accessories."
Designers travel a lot, they need to see new ideas and customs all around the world to create their master pieces.
What should a Designer have to be really successful?
Aspiring fashion designers should earn an associates or bachelors degree in fashion design. A joint degree in business, marketing, or merchandising can also be helpful for starting your own business. Nowadays designs are made in computer soft-wares.

http://www.academyart.edu/fashion-school/faq/fashion-designer.html

To be able to start being a designer you need to a design portfolio. Academy of Art University is in San Francisco, founded by artists. It's a university that has access to the fashion shows in Fashion Week in New York.

Link to Istituto Marangoni. Great institute for fashion designers. You can study merchandising, marketing, design and much more to be a good rounded designer. This institute introduces you to the fashion world.

Next Google day...

I would like to investigate about another career such as interior design or architecture. I am inspired in studying something that has to do with fashion but I don't know what exactly. Learn which career is more successful and what each one is about. Investigate more about NABA bachelor's program.

Viruses

What I know about this topic...
This topic, Viruses, is how a computer can get damaged and can get you as the owner or user in personal risk within different ways. By online creations, adds or advertisements.

What I wonder or questions I have about the topic
I wonder how can I prevent viruses to get to my computer?
If my computer has a viruses how can I get rid of them?
Can people control a virus from another computer?

Links were I found the best information...

Things I learn...
-Viruses are more often from email online messages.
-Viruses can delete information on your computer.
-Viruses can also come from a computer program.
-There are different types of viruses. Worm is one that can spread without people opening some kind of page and it works going from one computer to another taking out information.
-To prevent viruses you can have a virus scan, it would help you by scanning a file before you open it or download any work or program.

Summary about topic...
Anyone can get a virus on their computer. It may damage your computer, take out a lot of information.  You always have to be careful with which files you open up on your email account or the things you may download from the internet. This relates to my life because you will always open up a email message or download whatever thing you need and  you will get a virus on your PC. I'm online everyday of my life. This affects me greatly because I don't know which sources are free from viruses and which one might contain some. You can't prevent it unless you have a type of virus scan or an anti-virus software that will prevent you of having to open up the file.

Questions I still have...
If you have a virus on your computer and you buy an anti-virus does your virus on your computer go away?
Can the virus re-appear if you already eliminated it?
